Don’t flood the ice with water, let the water freeze in thin layers to get a strong high quality ice.
Ice quality can be affected by many parameters. If you want a good quality ice, you should not expose it to large temperature differences. If you wish to increase or decrease the temperature, do it in stages where the ice gets time to get used to the new temperature.
With the REALice® specially designed nozzle, water gets sprayed on the ice in a fine mist to that freezes quickly as it impacts the ice. By using this technique, you are laminating the ice in thin layers.
When resurfacing the ice, bear in mind that you pass through certain areas more often then others. Lower or stop the water flow when passing trough these areas. This will prevent the ice from being uneven.
